Forgive me for reusing this photo of myself from a previous post, but I found it applicable again.
On the first of the year, as part of Apothecary Circle (and as something I so SO need), I made a commitment to drink 80-100oz of water each day. So far so good. I've been recycling a 27oz Voss water bottle because it's glass. Three of those and a couple cups of herbal tea will get me there. It's actually been easier than I expected. I wake up with a full bottle on my nightstand and drink it before I get out of bed. Then I make it a point to finish another at work before lunch time then casually work on the last one throughout the afternoon.
Thinking back, I'll admit that there were some days where I know I didn't drink a drop of water. Pretty terrible. Though the challenge is only for a month, this is definitely something I'm carrying with me for the long run. Here is a bit more about proper hydration.

Woohoo, go you!!! I grew up hating water, as I didn't like that there was no taste and flavored water was blah. I still prefer juice over water (and coffee, soda, etc.) but I've grown to love a tall glass of ice water, mmmm!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the rest of your goal!
It took me a while before I really loved water, when I was a kid I probably never ever drank water. I love it now, it just has to be room temp.
Deletefound your blog thru the apothecary circle :) the water challenge was easy as pie for the first few days, and then the weekend hit and i woke up and ran out the door saturday without my water. we didn't get home that day til really late, and i hadn't had anything to drink all that day. and now i'm kinda struggling to get back in the routine. :S i'm still super thirsty even on days i do manage to drink the required intake, not sure what to do about that.
ReplyDeleteThe weekend got a little challenging for me too. This week hasn't been as easy as last week, I've started getting a sore throat (sick folk at work..grr!). I got thirsty after the goal a little too, maybe it was from so long being basically dehydrated?
